TELEFLEX BOAT STEERING SYSTEMS: Eastern Marine Outlet sells the Safe-T QC Rotary Steering System from Teleflex. Ideal for traditional boat applications, the Safe-T QC suits inboards, small outboard and power assisted stern drive applications. The Safe-T QC replaces all Teleflex Safe-T helms made since 1968 with little or no dash modifications.
We also sell "The Rack" Boat Steering System from Teleflex. This unique back mount Rack system allows fast and easy installation and delivers a precise and comfortable steering "feel". Suitable for use on outboard and stern drive boats. Applies to virtually all power-assisted stern drive boats with wheels up to 16" diameter. Back Mount Replaces 1984-date Teleflex "The Rack" steering without dash modification.
Seastar Hydraulic Steering Kits are also available for single and multiple non-power-assisted outboard engine applications up to 300 hp for singles and 600 hp for counter-rotating twins. They are ideal for larger boats and and boats that can reach speeds up of to 60 miles per hour.

Teleflex Marine Mechanical Steering How to Measure Steering Cables:
Replacement of Existing Cable: If possible, find the part number stamped on the plastic jacket of the old cable.
If you removed the old cable, measure for the replacement cable as follows:
For Rotary Steering Cable Replacement, Measure Existing Cable as follows:
Measure plastic cable jacket in inches, add 18", and round up to next foot. Order that length cable.
For Rack Steering Cable Replacement, Measure Existing Cable as follows:
Measure plastic cable jacket in inches, add 30", and round up to next foot. Order that length cable.
